She was born Julie Dorne Brown on 27 August 1963 in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdome and her nickname is ‘Downtown’ Julie Brown.
 
In the 1970’s she was a winner of the “World Disco Dance” championship in Europe and soon after she moved to the U.S.
 
At the age of 18 in 1981 she co-hosted the children’s quiz show in the UK titled “Cracker Jack” that was a regular stable on UK TV from 1955 to 1984.
 
Julie was a V.J. (Video Jockey) in the early 1980’s for the British weekly series “Music Box” on cable TV when executives from “MTV” spotted her and hired her to host “Club MTV” as a D.J. from 1985 to 1992.
 
Her father was in the Royal Air Force and Julie moved around a lot with her family and lived in Cyprus, India and Singapore.
 
In August 1998 Julie posed naked for a “Playboy” magazine pictorial.
