Character’s background: Zatanna debuted in Hawkman Vol. 1 #4, October 1964, and was created by Gardner Fox and Murphy Anderson. Daughter of Zatara and Sindella, both powerful magicians, from whom Zatanna inherited her magical powers, she used her abilities as a stage performer and at service of the Justice League of America and occasionally the Sentinels of Magic. She works her magic by speaking the words of her spells backwards. |
