| Country Of Birth: | Australia |
| Birth Place: | Melbourne, Victoria |
| Height: | 5' (1.52 m) |
Born Kylie Ann Minogue on May 28, 1968 in Melbourne, Australia, Kylie found success for her role on the television Australian soap opera Neighbours in the late 80s. Things went up from there, she left Neighbours in 1988 to pursue singing. That year also saw the release of her debut album "Kylie", under her than record label Stock, Aiken, and Waterman. It became a hit and launched her into stardom. Kylie would go on to release three more albums with Stock, Aiken, and Waterman, before parting ways because of declining sales.
In 1993, she signed with Deconstruction, the following year releasing the album "Kylie Mingoue" and playing Cammy in the film Streetfighter. Both the movie and the album were unsuccessful, though the latter has since gained a small cult following . In 1998, she released "Impossible Princess", her second and final album under the label Deconstruction. The album failed and Kylie was subsequently released from the contract. She would continue acting in films like Bio-Dome (1996) with Pauly Shore, Moulan Rouge (2001) as the green fairy and Dougal (2006) as the voice of Florance.
2000 is considered, a pre-comeback for Kylie. Under a new contract with her current record label Parlophone, Kylie released "Light years". A success in Europe and many other countries. 2001 saw Kylie's biggest commercial success in her entire career with the album "Fever" followed by "Body Language" in 2003. In May 2005, Kylie announced her diagnosis of breast cancer. Because of that, she postponed her tour. Kylie has since successfully treated the disease and will resume tour in November.
Though her success hasn't been as great in America, she is still nonetheless the princess of pop. Her fan base is one of the most loyal of any pop star and her ability to perform like she does solidifies her as a diva. Her voices isn't the best or that strong for that matter, but Kylie sure makes it up in everything else.
