Kevin Costner was born in Lynwood, California on January 18, 1955. He grew up in various parts of California, and graduated from high school in 1973. He earned his B.A. at California State University, Fullerton, where he developed his interest in acting. He met his first wife, Cindy Silva, whom he married soon after graduating from college. They had three children together, and got divorced 16 years of marriage. He later took acting lessons, and made his acting debut at the age of 19 in Sizzle Beach, U.S.A.. It wasn't until 1990 that he achieved his first success - Dances With Wolves, which he produced, directed, and starred in as the title character. The film won two Academy Awards (Best Director and Best Picture) and also won a Golden Globe. Since then, Kevin has starred in many other successful films, although none as memorable than Dances With Wolves. Kevin has a son, Liam, from girlfriend Bridget Rooney, and has another son from his current wife, Christine Baumgartner. Kevin has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
