This former football star played for the L.A. Rams for some years until until a torn heel ended his sports career. His first first acting appearances were in several sixties comedies, including "I Dream Of Jeannie." Later he received kudos for a TV movie "Desperate Mission" (1969). He garnered further attention with a continuing role along Fess Parker in "Daniel Boone." Thereafter Grier got his own show "The Rosey Grier Show" which lasted only one season in 1969. For most of the 70s, he kept working in TV and movies. Today Rosey Grier is devoted to a congregation where he was ordained as minister.
