Cherry Jones is an American actress, and was born on November 21, 1956 in Paris, Tennessee. Jones has devoted much of her career to stage acting, and is a Tony award winner. Jones is best known to TV fans as President Julie Taylor on the seventh and eighth seasons of FOX action drama 24. She won an Emmy for her performance in 2009. Jones is openly gay, and was in a relationship with fellow actress Sarah Paulson from 2005-2009. The two are said to have split amicably. In 2012, Cherry played Dr. Judith Evans, one of Det. Michael Britten's two psychiatrists on the NBC drama Awake. Other credits include Erin Brockovich, The Perfect Storm, Frasier, Signs, The West Wing, The Village, Ocean's Twelve, The Beaver, and New Year's Eve.
