Juliette is Nick's fiancee of several years, and is a veterinarian in Portland. She is slowly exposed to the Wesen in the first season but refuses to accept it when Nick tells her the truth about his lineage as a Grimm. Before they can resolve members, Juliette is the target of a Hexenbiest seeking revenge on Nick by striking at his loved ones and goes into a coma.

Captain Renard is eventually required to drink a potion and bring Juliette out of her coma. She loses all memory of Nick and soon discovers that she has strong mystically-compelled feelings for Renard, the man who saved her life. While she tries to deal with those feelings, she tries to get in touch with the emotions that drew her to Nick in the first place.
