Alice was an actress and singer and she began her career singing with the band for actor, producer and singer Rudy Vallee in the early 1930’s in New York City.
| Alice was married to actor, singer and saxophone player Tony Martin from 1937 to 1940 and on 12 May 1941 she married actor, bandleader and singer Phil Harris they had 2 children together and stayed married up until his death on 11 August 1995.
