Kaoru is one of the twins in the Host Club. He and Hikaru are known as the Little Devil type of the club. He's much more mature than Hikaru and notices things that the other host club members didn't think he would realize. As kids, the twins didn't have friends other than themselves because they regarded things as either their world or everything outside of their world. After the joined the Host Club, they became more opened and after Haruhi joined the club, the became much more social than they ever had been. His hair goes to the left and he has a lighter voice than Hikaru's. He and Hikaru were the third and fourth people to realize that Haruhi was a girl.

History: All his life Ogata has been compared with his famous director father, so much so that the fragile director is prone to panic attacks when his father is mention. Ogata wants to step out of his father's shadow and is planning to use the much hyped drama 'Dark Moon' starring Kyoko and Ren to do so.

'Dark Moon' is a remake of "Tsukigomori', a series that made his father's career 20 years ago.

Personality: Kyoko compares Ogata to be like a princess and he is very sensitive, soft-spoken and creative. But he is also quietly driven to be successful in his own right.
