Birth Name: George Timothy Clooney
Date Of Birth: May 06, 1961 (Age 52)
Country Of Birth: USA
Birth Place: Lexington, Kentucky
Height: 5' 11" (1.8 m)

George Timothy Clooney was born in Lexington, Kentucky on May 6, 1961. His father, Nick, was a TV newscaster and aspiring politician, and his mother, Nina, was a beauty queen. He has one sister named Ada. For a while the family lived in Columbus, Ohio where Clooney attended St. Michael's Elementary, and he later moved to Kentucky, where he went to Augusta High School. Though he wasn’t a particularly good student, he was very athletic, and especially loved baseball. He hoped to play for the Cincinnati Reds, though when that didn’t work out he attended Northern Kentucky University, but never graduated.

Clooney moved to Los Angeles, California in 1982 hoping to start a career in acting. He got a role as a handyman on the sitcom The Facts of Life, and a fairly regular supporting role as Roseanne Barr’s boss on the show, Roseanne. The role that made him famous was as Dr. Doug Ross on the medical drama, ER. While working on ER, he also began starring in films, such as From Dusk Till Dawn (1996), Batman & Robin (1997), and Out of Sight (1998). Clooney quit the cast of ER in 1999 so he could work in films full-time. He starred in such films as O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000), and Ocean's Eleven (2001).

Clooney was voted “Sexiest Man Alive” by People Magazine in November 1997 and once again in November 2006. He also made Academy Award history by being the first person to be nominated as best actor in one movie (Syriana) and for writing and directing in a different one (Good Night, and Good Luck) in the very same year. Clooney was briefly married to actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993. He is currently single.
