Dannii Minogue

Born Danielle Jane Minogue on October 20, 1971 in Melbourne, Australia, Danielle or simply known as Dannii is the middle child of three kids, the oldest being Kylie, the youngest being Brendan. Her parents are (father) Ron Minogue, a fellow Australian himself, and (mother) Carol Jones, who is Welsh and happened to immigrate from Maesteg, Whales as a child.

Before becoming a pop singer and recording artist, Dannii had some minor roles in Australian television, including Skyways, The Sullivans and Young talent time as herself, before leaving to pursue singing. Dannii has also had success on stage with roles in plays such as, Grease: the arena spectacular, and MacBeth in which she played Lady MacBeth. And she has appeared in a few films like Secrets in 1992, The porter in 2004, and her upcoming role in the horror flick Except East Richmond in 2006/2007.

Over the years, Dannii has lived in the shadow of her older sister's footsteps, vying to achieve the success Kylie has had. Previous, to her hit album "Neon Nights" in 2003, she released other albums which largely went unnoticed in the United States. "Love and kisses" (1991), "Get into you" (1993) and "Girl" (1997) all failed to break into mainstream society. But "Neon Nights" finally got her some much need attention and became her biggest hit yet. It spawned the huge dance hit Who do you love now?, I begin to wonder, and dont wanna lose this feeling.

Yes, she is not nearly as well known or popular as Kylie, which is saying something because Kylie isn't as well known as someone like Madonna despite her massive success, but Dannii isnt just another pop singer. She's beautiful, talented and well just plain awesome. Dannii is determined to show the world what she's made of and will not let anything stand in her way.
