John Lithgow

John Arthur Lithgow was born 19 October 1945 in Rochester, New York as the son of Sarah Jane Price and Arthur Lithgow.
John graduated from Princeton High School and attended Harvard from which he graduated magna cum laude. At Harvard he got a Fulbright scholarship which brought him to the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He then became a actor on Broadway and had and still has a outstanding career with five Tony-nominations of which he won three.

For the TV-audience, John is mostly known as Dr. Dick Solomon of Third Rock from the Sun. Third Rock was aired for six seasons and John was nominated for a Emmy Award for each one, he won three of them for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.
