Batman. That may or may not be true. Bill Finger was born on the date of 2-8-1914, is an American writter. Bill Finger went to the highschool with Batman's co-creator Bob Kane, and they knew each other from that. After the Superman character had hit a big point in comic book sales, Bill and Bob began to collaberate on a character Bob Kane called Birdman. Bill Finger did not like the idea and re tooled the character into the character that debuted in Detective Comics #27. The original character Birdman was very different from the character Batman. However, Bob Kane tradded the rights of Batman to Dc Comics for the following sentence to be in every
Batman comicbook. "Batman created by Bob Kane." But it is un-true. Bill Finger helped create many of the roges gallery members, one of them being Batman's greatest villaness,
Catwoman. Bill Finger also created the Batmobile and the Bat-cave along with many things. Bill wrote the first Batman story that was published in Dc comics, Detective Comics #27, in a story called
"The Case of the Chemical Syndicate." Then, spinning out of
Detective Comics, Dc comics released a comic book title called
Batman. In the early stories of that publication, Bill Finger had written stories that featured the debute of
Joker.
Robin had also debuted in the pages of
Batman comics. Bob Kane's original idea for a side kick characters was for it to be an impish character called Punk, but Jerry Robbinsion, their new inker suggeste a more down to earth character, and that's where
Robin came in at. Then, in the pages of All-Star comics, Finger collaborated with the artist Martin Nodell, to create a new character called The
Green Lantern. The issue of All-star comics that featured
Green Lantern's debute was issue #16. Durring the times of the 1950's, Bill Finger teamed up with the artist Dick Sprang in the pages of
Batman. Besides writting
Batman, he wrote stories for
Superman's comic book title. One of the stories he wrote was one called "The Girl From Superman's Past" in which we got a look at one of
Superman's friends from college. Bill Finger was barley credited for his work, and this poor man (poor in the money sense) died without even being fully credited for creating
Batman. The term is known as being "Fingered."
