He has wrestled under the following names of Lance Sydal, Matt and Matt Sydal.
| During high school Matt was on his school’s wrestling team and while he was a senior he began his professional wrestling training by attending GCW (Gateway Championship Wrestling) in St. Louis, Missouri.
| After only 3 months of training he made his in-ring debut for GCW on 20 October 2000. After he graduated from high school he attended The University of Missouri–Columbia in Columbia, MO & continued to wrestle on the weekends.
| While in GCW he had a valet named Daizee Haze and they formed a group called “Operation Shamrock” with Billy McNeil and they feuded with the heel group Ministry of Hate.
| On 23 February 2003 he wrestled for the 1st time in TNA and lost his debut match against Jimmy Rave on “NWA TNA Xplosion”. On 16 January 2004 he also began wrestling in IWA Mid South wrestling, PWIM & in ROH.
| On 5 February 2005 he began wrestling in NWA Wildside, CWE, IWC, MPW, NBWA & NWA Florida. On 4 February 2006 he added NWA Central States, CZW, FIP, GCW, MTV's Wrestling Society X, PWG, Rings of Europe & WXW Germany.
| His wrestling moves are The Aftershock, Cyclorama (Belly to belly moonsault slam), Double Helix (360° twisting moonsault), Dragonrana, Flying Shooting Star Press, Gory Special into a Neckbreaker, Springboard Corkscrew Senton & Springboard 450.
