Lloyd Bochner began his career at age 11 on radio in his native Canada. In 1946, he made his screen debut in The Mapleville Story, a Canadian production. After moving to the U.S., he made his television debut in 1952 as a regular on One Man's Family, a soap opera adapted from the radio serial of the same name.
He went on to appear as a regular on series like Dynasty and Hong Kong, but most of his work was as a guest star on various popular television shows including Hogan's Heros, Perry Mason and Mission: Impossible. He is readily recognizable from his role as Chambers in To Serve Man an episode from the original Twilight Zone.
He was to originate the role of C.C. Capwell on soap opera Santa Barbara, but suffered a heart attack before the series debuted and was unable to appear in the series.
In 1992, he provided the voice of Mayor Hill in animated series Batman. In 1993, his son, Hart Bochner, provided the voice of D.A. Arthur Reeves in the animated feature Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.
