played Jillian Deline in Las Vegas
Jillian Deline is the wife of casino president Ed Deline. Jillian and Ed have a daughter, Delinda, who works at the Montecito, and a step-daughter Nessa, who worked at the casino before she went into some kind of protective custody at the end of season 2.
Jillian is a neurotic, long suffering trophy wife who has become very anxious and frustrated with Ed's careers, both at the CIA and the Montecito. She often feels neglected or ignored by Ed, mainly out of her own self-centeredness, such as when she insisted that Ed had arranged a robbery at the casino just to ruin their trip to France. She frets endlessly about Delinda and has no compunctions about interfering in other people's lives, such as when she invited Delinda's old boy friend from college to Las Vegas and agressively played matchmaker, pushing the couple towards a marriage that neither was prepared for.
She tries to handle Ed primarily through offering him free tickets for guilt trips. Ed tries his best to maintain domestic harmony, but does draw the line when priorities are clearly higher.
Jillian enjoys playing golf and owns a Pomeranian (Sir Edward of Henderson) and a horse.
Jillian vanished with Ed at the beginning of Season 5 after Ed was accused of murder. This inconclusive resolution leaves open the possibility of Jillian reappearing at some point. (Update: Jillian returned to visit Delinda for the season finale of season 5.) |
