Kassie DePaiva is the second actress to play the role of Blair on ABC's long-running daytime serial One Life to Live, a role that she has played since December of 1993. Her role on One Life to Live marked the return of her year-long break from daytime television, as she had previously played Chelsea Reardon on Guiding Light, a role that she had played since 1986, but left in 1991.
Kassie was born and raised in Kentucky with two older brothers and a younger sister. While working at the Opryville in Tennessee, Kassie soon debuted as a soloist at the Grand Old Opry at age 18. While working there, she realized her desire to entertain others. She studied theater at the University of Indiana and the University of California in Los Angeles. She dropped out of the UCLA to travel with the USO on a tour to Japan, Korea, and Okinawa. In 2000, Kassie released her first CD, Naked. Kassie is married to former One Life to Live co-star James DePaiva, and has a son, James Quentin DePaiva.
