Her first television role was on the serial Baywatch from 1997 to 1998.
Kelly played the part of Livvie Locke Morley on the soap opera Port Charles from 1999 until the show was cancelled in 2003. She then joined the cast of soap opera General Hospital as Sam McCall in September 2003.
In 2003 Kelly was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress.
During the summer of 2005, Kelly appeared as a contestant on the American television series Dancing With The Stars. On July 6, 2005, Kelly won the Dancing With The Stars final.
