Born in Dominican Republic - Chiko arrived in New York only months old. Though life was tough and his family poor, Chiko made it a mission to finish school. He excelled in reading and writing becoming proficient in both English and Spanish. He studied theatrics often singing in local theaters and performing frequently in school plays. Many years of loyal dedication lead multiple appearances in television shows like Saturday Night Live, Law & Order, Junkyard Wars, Astonishing News, Third Watch, The Sopranos and many more. On his journey for artistic evolution he attends HB Studios to further flex his acting chops - after which he was involved in over 150 tv/ film projects which he affectionately refers to as the "boot-camp" of his career highlights. One of those being a coveted role as a backup singer in the movie "El Cantante", starring Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez, and directed by Leon Ichaso. Another was a pivotal scene with Ana de La Reguera in "Paraiso Travel", starring John Leguizamo and directed by Simon Brand; soon after he was cast in "The Singer," another film about the famed Salsero, Hector Lavoe, starring well known performers like La India and Patricia Monterola. In addition to his credits, Chiko's worked with other successful actors such as Michael Keaton, Rachel Castro, Horatio Sanz, Fred Armisen, Debbie Rochon, Paul Kratka and Rachel Dracht. On the music forefront, Chiko is also a producer, lyricist, composer, musician and singer. Also sharing projects with many greats such as Lisa Lisa, Janid, Ray Sepulveda, Giggles, Tito Allan, John Benitez, Jimmy Sabater and many more. He's been invited various times as guest artist on commercial DVDs released worldwide along with accredited soundtracks. And though based in New York his work spans the globe with travels to Asia, Europe, Central and South America - while recording three tri-lingual albums and freelancing with a salsa band. His most recent film involvement is "Snitch", a feature length film now in development. Here he portrays "El Chino" - lead character opposite co-star Jimmy Ayala. Chiko's patience, perseverance and most importantly loyalty to his craft at all cost have extracted his stunt abilities for this film as well as screenwriting skills for the script.
