Nikolaj Coster Waldau is a Danish actor who was born on July 27, 1970. He first began acting shortly after he finished schooling and appeared in a number of Danish television and movie roles during the early nineties. Nikolaj has also appeared more recently in American films, such as Black Hawk Down and Wimbledon. In 2008, Nikolaj starred in the lead role of the new Fox series, New Amsterdam as the title character, John Amsterdam. Besides acting, Nikolaj is married and has two children.
