Wayne Loren Wilson served from 1967 to 1968 with the U.S. Army in Vietnam, received his Master of Fine Arts degree from the writing program at Louisiana State University and has worked as a musician, graphic artist, editor, and freelance writer.
He has taught creative writing at Louisiana State University, University of Massachusetts, Colby College, Tulane University, and Harvard University Extension School.
Wayne has published two novels--Loose Jam, and Eddie & Bella. His fiction and nonfiction has appeared in Buzz: The Talk of Los Angeles, The Carolina Quarterly, The Cincinnati Review, The Double-Dealer Redux, and other literary magazines.
"John From Cincinnati" is his first television writing job. He is the credited writer of Episode 9 and appears as The Tailor in Episode 10. He is currently writing a pilot for a 12-episode TV series set in an isolated fire-support base in Vietnam in 1968. |

Wayne Wilson and Kem Nunn, best-selling novelist and Executive Co-Producer of "John From Cincinnati," first met as members of a bluegrass band when they attended high school in, respectively, Pomona and Claremont, California. In 1971 they co-edited Mount San Antonio College's literary magazine, which was taken off the college bookstore's shelves and destroyed the day after it was published. |
