Jake Harper is Alan's son from his infernal marriage with bossy Judith, who fleeced him for every penny and uses Jake to continue collecting alimony he can't afford, including the most ludicrous derived expenses; manipulating the lawyers to force him to pay. Jake is presumed to have a small brain, but nobody knows for sure as he never seems to try using it anyway and is lazy even by Charlie's standards, except when it comes to eating, so he's as round as a barrel. His schoolwork is consistently below any standard; staff simply gives up on him, and divisive parental duties beween his mother and the Harper brothers, without siblings, neighbour kids or grandparents in his life doesn't help either (Evelyn doesn't count, she hated even raising her own boys). Still, Jake is usually quite happy being a passive layabout, playing copter games and letting the actually loving 'parental trio' solve all his problems, Meanwhile Charlie somehow manages to teach him guy stuff, such as womanizing and everything else his dad Alan frowns upon; all the more reason to enjoy it together.
