Eugene Mark Sully was born on Wednesday 30th November 1977 in Crawley, west Sussex and is the youngest of two children born to Janet Sully, who is a local councillor for the Gossops Green ward area and to Phillip Sully, an Open University graduate. Eugene used to work for student radio and for Beat 106 in Scotland before working at the BBC as an engineer for their Spectrum and Planning Department before joining Channel 4's Big Brother as a contestant. During his time there, there had been talk on various websites that it may be possible that he may suffer with the diagnosis of Aspergers' Syndrome, which is a form of autism. Although Eugene admits that he may have this, he has never actually been diagnosed. Out of the house, Eugene did stand again as a councillor in the Pound Hill area after failing the first time but this proved unsuccessful. He has also appeared in other television programmes including Eggheads, Top Of The Pops, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Test The Nation and on Brainiac: Test Tube Baby, as a well as a disc jockey on Passion Radio and Rocket FM, and for eight months, was a studio desk operator at BBC Scotland. Eugene usually presides over the annual Bognor Birdman competition and attends the Lewes Bonfire celebrations where he congregates with the Borough Bonfire Society. He has also contributed to SoFreshTV where he presented the slots "What Bothers You?" and "The Gadget Show". He recently attended the JapShow car show, the NEC Autosport International Show in Birmingham where there was a car rally event, a radio rally show at Kempton Park as well as recently having attended an event at the Museum of London and is due to have a 30th birthday party in aid of Big Brother. He is an atheist and doesn't like anyone cursing technical equipment.

Eugene has taken flying lessons at Cubair Flying School in Surrey and has recently passed his pilots' licence successfully. He also collects electrical equipment, light bulbs and padlocks and has a fear of water tanks. He also attends radio conferences and is a member of the Crawley Amateur Radio Club, the West of Scotland Amateur Radio Society and of the Institution of Electrical Engineers. He also attended a Closer Young Heroes Awards ceremony in November 2005 and won the Heat magazine awards for Best Dressed Man that year. He also would like to meet Terry Wogan and appeared on Trisha Goddard's Channel 5 show and also appeared on Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow, an edition of The Politics Show on BBC1 South East in May 2006 and on Channel 4's The Charlotte Church Show.
