It was always known since Corde was in the womb that he would grow up to be someone special. While his mother was pregnant in her 4th month his grandmother went to a psychic who told her that a new addition was coming into the family, and that child would be a boy who would one day become rich and famous. As a child Corde loved to dance, and like all kids wanted to be like Michael Jackson and would always have to dance for his grandma and her company, which he hated but had to do. As an adolescent Corde was very much into sports; baseball, football and track and excelled in all. At age 15 Corde was in a bad car accident where he was ejected from the car and sustained numerous injuries; he broke his femur in two places, cut an artery in his left arm, and had several cuts and lacerations to his face, head and back. As a result, he couldn’t participate in any strenuous activities which meant he could no longer play any sports. The first year he had a steel rod in his leg to help with the healing of the bone, and the second year he had to get the steel rod removed from his leg.
At this point he and his family moved from Long Beach, Ca. to Sacramento, Ca. where he attended Grant High School. At Grant High School he was a member to the drama team where they did the musical “West Side Story” and that is when he started dancing again. From there he and a group of friends formed a dance group and called themselves “5150” because there choreography was “crazy”. 5150 began entering local talent shows in the Sacramento area. Several months later they entered a talent competition where they took first place twice. From there 5150 was invited by Debbie Allen to perform at the Pre-Grammy party in Los Angeles as well as a performance at a local club sponsored by Fox. Corde knew then that dancing and choreography is what he wanted to do. Shortly afterwards Corde moved to Los Angeles to pursue his Dancing/Choreography career in 2001 where he signed with Bloc Talent Agency.
Corde is one of the most talented Choreographers/Dancers residing in Los Angeles today. His unique and dynamic style of dance and choreography has faced him to work with some to the hottest artist today. He has done Choreography for artist such as Missy Elliott, Mary J. Blige, Brook Hogan, Sean Paul, Craig David, Omarion, and many other artist. He was a dancer in “You Got Served” and his choreography was also featured in the opening of the film. He also was the Assistant Choreographer to HiHat in the film “How She Move”. His Dancing credits consist of: B2K, IMX, Missy Elliott, Blaque, J.C. Chasez, Fergie, and Daddy Yankee.
He is someone that you should definitely keep an eye out for. Corde, soon to be a household name, was and still is destined for success.
