Neil Patrick Harris was born on June 15th 1973 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Ron and Sheila Harris and his 3 years older brother Chris.

He acted early in his life and was discovered at a drama summer camp in 1987 by Mark Medoff who let Neil audition for a role in his upcoming movie; Clara's Heart. In later years he has had major roles in movies like Starship Troopers and Undercover Brother and he can be seen playing him self in Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle.

He has also had an, maybe even more, successful TV-career where most people probably know him as Douglas Howser on Doogie Howser, MDor as slimey but loveable Barney in How I Met Your Mother.
Other TV-credits include Henry from Stark Raving Mad along with Tony Shalhoub and the voice for Spider-Man i the animated series from 2003. He has also had guest roles, e.g. Numb3rs and Jack and Bobby.
