LeAnn Rimes was born in Jacskon, Mississippi on August 28, 1982, but spent little time in Mississippi before moving to Garland Texas. Before the move (move was around age 5 or so), LeAnn had already started singing, and after the move she released her first album All That at the age of 11 (independent label released the album). Curb Records picked up on the buzz generated by the release, and were interested in Rimes. Shortly thereafter Rimes released her first major label album, Blue, for Curb Records. Blue went multi-platinum. A star was born, and still shines.
In 1997, LeAnn made her first appearance as an actress, appearing in the ABC movie “Holiday in Your Heart” (based on a book co-written by LeAnn Rimes). In 2000, LeAnn Rimes made her debut in the moving pictures that appear in theaters, when she appeared in the film “Coyote Ugly.” In 2003, LeAnn hosted the television series Nashville Star.
