A Magog by birth Bem is a murderous beast born only to destroy all in his path. However Bem is also a bit of an oddity being the only known Magog to retain traits from his host. This human nature is what lead him to question the senseless rape and murder of his kind and put on the path of the way. As a dedicated Wayist Bem now tries to heal not hurt and uses his barbaric skill only in defense of himself and others. He even lives in a constant state of hunger because a Magog can only be satisfied when murdering and infesting a host. Bem should be and is appluaded for his sacrifice and dedication but for the crew of Andromeda there's always the fear that Bem's demons will over-take him and put the entire ship in danger.
