Peter Falk

Peter Falk, who played the famous Inspector Columbo, passed away on June 23, 2011. Mr Falk died at the age of 83 at his home in California, Beverly Hills. His daughter, Catherine Falk, delivered the sad news. He was suffering from Alzheimer's disease for many years. His wife Shera, with whom he was married for 34 years, looked after him.
Born on September 16, 1927 in New York, Peter Falk became ​​famous worldwide for his role as Inspector Columbo in the series of the same name, he embodied the detective on the small screen from 1968 to 2003. He won four Emmy awards for this role. In total, Peter Falk made sixty films.
Peter Falk wrote in 2006 his autobiography, Just One More Thing: Stories from My Life (Columbo's memoirs).
