Virginia Grey

Virginia Grey was born into show business, as her father was silent actor and director Ray Grey. When he passed away suddenly in the mid 1920s, Grey's mother went to work at Universal and began taking her young daughter to auditions. Beautiful even at the age of 10, Grey landed the role of Little Eva in the big-budget Universal epic Uncle Tom's Cabin. Rumored to have dated and considered marrying Clark Gable, with whom she appeared in Test Pilot (1938), Grey never married. She retired from the screen in the early 1970s.
