played Ben in Reaper

Ben (no last name currently known) comes from a good Hispanic family. The scholarly one of the family with an interest in the theological, his parents and grandmother figured he would become a priest. However, things never turn out like you’d like and Ben ended up as a worker at a retail outlet. He enjoyed thinking about the spiritual and the supernatural, but it just seemed boring.

Until he discovered that his friend Sam was a Reaper for Hell. Finally Ben has a chance to put all of that theological knowledge to use, and he likes to think of himself as Sam’s spiritual advisor. He also sees himself as doing holy work, and he finally succeeded in pleasing his grandmother when she found out what he was involved in.

Ben possesses no special skills but does have a good working knowledge of the Bible. Due to allergies he can’t keep any pets, so he’s interested in any animals they come across. He acts as Sam’s friend, giving him support when he needs it even if he does tend to end up the target of every escaped soul’s attack. But he’s always willing to come back for more.

If Ben has one flaw, it's his gentle trusting nature. When fellow Work bench co-worker Sara asks him to marry her so she can get a green card, he lets himself get suckered in despite her poor treatment of him, and her refusal to let him see his new girlfriend Cassidy on the side. Sara eventually betrays him, stealing $2,000 and going on the lam and leaving Ben to go to jail for his part in the immigration scam.
