Fred Savage returns to TV as Mitch Crumb, a screen-writer who is gay, but won't tell his family. After returning home to help his crazy mom deal with life outside the institution, he helps run the restaurant with his brother, and has to try and keep his dad out.

Kevin Arnold is the main character that every episode revolves around. Kevin loves to play baseball, basketball and football. He also loves staying a kid as long as possible. His best friend is Paul who is kind of a nerd but Kevin doesnt care about that. Winnie Cooper is Kevins love interest, although she is not the only girls he's ever been close to.

Kevin had many love interest over the years. Ms. White who was Kevins teacher got him interested in a play, mainly because she is beautiful and he had a crush on her.
Another love interest was Becky Slater, Kevin dated her for a little while but ended up dumping her because he still had feelings for Winnie.

Each episode is narrated by an adult Kevin as he tells his audience the story of his life.
