Leah came to Summer Bay in 2000 after running away from her wedding and got together with Vinnie Patterson, her brother Alex Poulos soon dicided to live there too. Leah married Vinnie and she got pregnant and had a son VJ. Vinnie was sent to prison and Leah had got the bad news that he had died in prison, But on the night of the Sarah Lewis seige Peter Baker revealed to Leah that vinnie wasn't really dead but didn't find out the truth for a long time until she was told he was in witness protection. She than met Dan Baker, Peter's brother and they soon got together, they were going to have a baby together but an accident caused her to miscarry. Leah was going to leave Summer Bay with Dan to live in America, Dan went first and Leah to follow but Leah got some bad news that he had died. Leah owns half the share of the diner.
