Anya played by Emma Caulfield showed up at Sunnydale High as a demon to Cordelia in season 3. But in that time she lost her status as a demon and after over 400 years of being a demon she was a regular human. This comes into play in season 4 when she begins a relationship with Xander but is not accustomed to worldly traditions of emotions and regular life. She prooves to be very blunt in telling the truth about anything how she sees it regardless of how direct and rude it may sound. |
