Lalaine Vergara-Paras was made famous to pre-teens and adolescents in 2001-2004 when she starred as Miranda Sánchez in the popular Disney sitcom Lizzie McGuire
Lalaine’s first acting job was the role of Cosette in the Broadway production of Les Miserables at the age of nine. She later portrayed the orphan Kate in the popular Disney movie version of the musical, Annie. Disney would also later cast her alongside AJ Trauth, in the Disney Channel Original Movie, You Wish!
2003, along with the release of You Wish!, marked the release of Lalaine’s independent album, Lalaine: Inside Story. She traveled to the Phillipines in 2004, where she hosted her own travel show, Flipside. Her single, Haunted, also came out in 2004. In 2005 came the release of the single I'm Not Your Girl, with the B-side "Did You Hear About Us?".
In 2010 she joined an Ohio band called Vanity Theft after their original bassist left the band. She also had a guest spot in the Scarlet Letter take-off Easy A, which stars Emma Stone and fellow Disney alumna Aly Michalka.
