Matt Lucas first started standup and his partnership with Reeves and Mortimer at the age of eighteen in 1992. His first standup gig was an appearance of his Bernard Chumley character.
He teamed up with his longtime comedy partner David Walliams with the Bernard Chumley and Friends in 1994. The same year, Lucas became a household name with his George Dawes baby character on the hit show Shooting Stars.
Lucas again teamed up with David Walliams to work on the cult show Rock Profile. The show lasted 2 series' in 2000 but never hit the big time. In 2003 the partnership struck gold with the character sketch show Little Britain. The show would go on to win many awards beating high caliber shows such as The Office.
He has written for many other famous comedians and had cameos in many films such as Shaun Of The Dead.
