Alyssa Milano

Alyssa Milano was born to her Italian-American parents, Lin and Tom, in Brooklyn, New York on December 19th of 1972. She and her younger brother, Cory, grew up in Staten Island where she began to slowly pursue her career in acting. After a few small gigs, she finally landed the role of Samantha Micelli on Who's the Boss? in 1984. This would be the role that would catapult her to stardom. The series lasted for eight successful seasons on the ABC network, but in the spring 1992 it was time to say goodbye to her television family which consisted of Tony Danza, Judith Light, Katherine Helmond and Danny Pintauro.

While Alyssa Milano never went for any big movie roles, she would return to television later in the series Melrose Place playing the role of Laila. Finally in 1998 she landed the role of Phoebe Halliwell on the supernatural WB series Charmed, opposite Shannen Doherty and Holly Marie Combs. However, it is rumored that things got tense between Alyssa Milano and Shannen Doherty behind the scenes, and after three seasons, Doherty exited the show. The series still went on for an additional five seasons and ended in May of 2006.
