Born on September 26, 1981, Christina Milian is the eldest in a family of three girls. Showing an early interest in performing, Christina did commercials for Honeycomb cereal and Wendy's restaurants, as well as playing the lead in the musical Annie. At age 13, she moved to Los Angeles with her family to pursue her acting career, and appeared in the Disney Channel's Movie Surfers in 1998 (as Tina Flores); she also had some minor movie appearances at this time, as well as guest starring on some television shows.
In 2000, she provided backing vocals for Ja Rule, then followed that up with backing vocals and writing for J. Lo; she released a solo album in 2001, with the first single becoming an international hit. Her second album was released in 2003; "Dip It Low" received a Grammy nomination, as did the album.
She continues to sing and act, with an album scheduled to be released in the Spring of 2006, and recent movie roles including "Be Cool" (starring John Travolta and Uma Thurman) and "Man of the House" (starring Tommy Lee Jones).
