Bruce Lorne Campbell was born on June 22nd 1958, in Royal Oak, Michigan. He had three brothers of which he was the youngest. Bruce Campbell took an interest in acting when he was 8 and his father was performing at a local theater. Bruce made his acting Debut, playing the Prince in 'Roger and Hammersteins The King and I' When he was 14. He then performed in more Roger and Hammerstein plays in local theaters. He also picked up an interest in directing. In 1975 He met Sam Rami (Today a director) in his drama class. He and Bruce filmed about 50 super-8 movies together. He attended Western Michigan University and took theater courses. In 1979, Bruce Campbell and Sam Rami decided to go into pro film making. They showed one of their super-8 movies, within the woods to potential investors and managed to raise $350000 to make the first 'Evil Dead' movie. Since then Bruce Campbell and Sam Rami has worked on many movies, Bruce being more an actor and Sam the Director. They made 2 evil dead sequels which made Bruce Campbell become well known for his catchy one liners in these movies. Bruce is considered a B-movie god, and while he has had some small roles on well known movies and television series, his main roles have been in movies which are lesser known to the public. He has starred in such T.V series as 'The Jack of all trades' and 'The adventures of Brisco County Jr.' Bruce Campbell also has written 2 books, an autobiography: "If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B movie actor" and "Make Love the Bruce Campbell way" He has been very successful for someone not very well known.
