Dwayne Hickman

Born in Los Angeles, Calif, on May 18, 1934, Dwayne Hickman looked like a high school senior. "Maybe when I'm ninety," Dwayne said, "producers will give me a chance to play meaty character roles." Looking younger than his years has had its disadvantages, Dwayne mourned when he was in his twenties. "Bartenders and waiters would demand to see my birth certificate when I ordered a drink." Dwayne is a solid citizen. He met his first wife, Carol Christianson, while he was starring in the Dobie Gillis series. Though they both kidded about their first reaction to each other, they admitted it was love at first sight. "Actually," Dwayne confided by the time, "Carol is the kind of girl I've been waiting for. And was she ever worth the wait!" he beamed. Dwayne and Carol got divorced in 1972. Dwayne is presently married to Joan Roberts
