She was offered a role on the show, but she wasn't finished with college so she turned it down. The scout didn't forget her though, and followed up with Marg once she was out of school. She got a part as Siobhan Ryan on the show - her first job as a professional actress.
Marg married Alan Rosenberg in 1989. They have a son together named "Hugie".
Marg's recieved the Q Award for Best Supporting Actress in a drama for her role on China Beach in 1989, 1990 and 1991.
