Hilarie Burton was born on July 1, 1982. She grew up in a small town. The outdoors was very important as she grew up. As a child Hilarie was a tomboy and often did the same things her brother did. Her first experience in the acting field was as Gretel Von Trapp in her high school production of The Sound of Music. In the fall of 2000, she moved to New York. She was asked to attend TRL. She was asked to be apart of the contest, "Who Wants to be a VJ?" As the challenged unraveled, it was clear she was the best choice. The next day she started her job at TRL. This was her big break.
Hilarie is mostly known for playing Peyton Sawyer on One Tree Hill.
