Brom Garrett is the husband of Alma. He is a wealthy young man from a wealthy family. When he runs out of money, he seems certain his family will send him more. Al Swearengen tries to cheat him out of a great deal of money by selling him a bogus claim. When he hints at getting the Pinkerton’s to look at the deal, Al has him killed. After his death the claim goes to his wife, Alma.

Death and disposal: He is pushed from a ridge by Dan Doirty, who then smashes his head against a rock. After being stored in the stream for a few days, he is eventually buried in the Deadwood graveyard.

Carlton Lassiter, Head Detective of the Police Force, believes that Shawn Spencer is a wise-cracking phony, and would rather cuff Shawn than go along with a psychic vision. A veteran at the department of ten years, Carlton likes to investigate by the book, leaving little to no tolerance for Shawn's claims as a psychic and his fake visions.
