Kristen Bell, best known as the star of the critically acclaimed series Veronica Mars, was born on July 18, 1980 in Detroit, Michigan to her Polish-American parents. She attended Shrine Catholic High School in Royal Oak, Michigan, where she was very active in the acting department, having appeared in numerous school productions. Upon graduating she moved to New York and attended NYU for a short while, and then went on to appear in a handful of Broadway plays. She would soon land small guest starring roles on series such as Deadwood, American Dreams and Everwood as well as a few other movie roles, before landing the aforementioned role on the UPN series Veronica Mars.
