She made her professional acting debut at the age of 18 playing “Marley Love Hudson McKinnon (aka Marnie Stone) #2” in the weekly TV Soap Drama series Another World in 1987 and she continued to play the role until 1991.

In 1999 Anne announced to the world that she was going to marry actress/comedian Ellen DeGeneres if and when Vermont legalized gay marriages.

In the year 2000 Anne and Ellen split up after living together for 3 ½ years.

On 1 September 2001 she married actor and camera operator “Coleman 'Coley' Laffoon”.

Three days after her marriage on 4 September 2001 her autobiography that she claims took her only 6 days to write titled Call Me Crazy was released to the public.

On 2 March 2002 Anne and her husband Coley had their very first baby and they named him “Homer Heche Laffoon”.

Anne is probably most remembered for playing the character “Amanda Hayes” in 10 separate episodes of the weekly TV Drama series “Everwood” between 2004 and 2005.
