Rachel is the personal protection officer for Professor Hood. She was appointed to this job as Hood received a death threat for his investigative work. Responsible to her superiors for Hood's safety, she accompanies him everywhere he goes.
As member of the British national security force, the Special Branch, she has contact with official police sources. She is also trained in martial arts and weapon usage. If anyone tries to harm Hood, she will be there to defend him.
With her robust common sense, she is a fitting counterpart in this series for Hood's scientific view of the world and his clumsiness at operating new technology. Plus, because Hood is a horrible driver, she always has to drive. |
