John Stamos was born in Cypress, California on August 19, 1963. When his grandfather came to America, he shortened his last name from Stamotopoulos to Stamos. John had two sisters growing up. His first TV role was on "General Hospital". His most famous role was on "Full House". His starring appearence in Jake In Progress only lasted one season and three episodes of a second season. He also starred in "Thieves" as Johnny, and has recently started on ER Tony Gates.
