Michel Gerard, a Frenchman and graduate of École Hôtelière de Genève, a world renowned hospitality school, is the concierge at The Dragonfly Inn. Michel first met Lorelai at the Independence Inn, where he was a concierge as well, and after the Independence Inn was closed down, he agreed to go into business with Lorelai and Sookie. His extreme diet-conscious lifestyle and snobby attitude often conflicts with Lorelai’s free-spirit and Sookie’s love of carbohydrates, but at the end of the day, the girls know that they can’t live without him.
Michel has a close relationship with his mother, though she has only appeared in one episode, and during season four, Michel adopted two Chow dogs, Paw-Paw and Chin-Chin, which he spoils as if they were his children. |
