Born O’shea O'Shea Jackson on June 15, 1969 in South Central Los Angeles, California, Ice Cube has made a name for himself as a prominent rapper and a prominent writer, director and actor. Both of Ice Cube’s parents were both of whom were employed at UCLA. As a teen young Ice Cube begun to write raps while attending school at William Howard Taft High School. Ranging from a long line of policitcal activist, ice cube as a well head on his soldier, and he is not afraid to express him self. Ice Cube has been in many rap groups since the early 90’s including NWA, Dr. Dre and most recently West Side Connection… Some of the movies that has made him famous is “ The Friday series”, ‘ Boyz in Da Hood” and The Barbershop movies…
Most recently after a long break from recording, he reached #2 in the UK singles chart with the club favourite, You Can Do It (featuring Mack 10 and Ms Tois), released as a single 5 years after it was first included on movie soundtracks such as Next Friday and Save the Last Dance. Also on the 7th of February 2006, Ice Cube officially announced that in June 6th 2006 he will be releasing his long awaited come back album entitled Laugh Now, Cry Later from his own record company Da Lench Mob Records.
