voiced Yusuke Urameshi in Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files
14 year old Yusuke Urameshi does the unpredictable, sacrificing his life for that of a child. Because his death was unexpected, he is allowed to return to the living world. However his trip to the dead and back has left an impression on his body, giving him control over his spirit energy. Thusly, Yusuke becomes spirit detective.
He undergoes many missions slaying evil demons, and constantly growing stronger. After a fight with a demon named Toguro, he is forced to take part in the Dark Tournament, and raise his skills even higher.
Later on in the series he takes on Sensui and unlocks his demon powers (from the bloodline of his ancestral father, a S class demon) Eventually, he takes on one of the Demon Kings, Yomi.
Yusuke, at first glance appears to be nothing more than your average thug, but underneath all the muck, you find a much different person. Yusuke's power is fueled by his emotions and he cares about his friends, and his girl, Keiko, very deeply. Throughout this series we can see him progress from a lazy slacker to someone who can care passionately and do anything possible to achieve his goals. |
