Rockmond Dunbar is a man of many talents, but acting is where he’s found the most success. Before hitting the small and big screen, Dunbar attended both Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia and the College of Santa Fe in Santa Fe, New Mexico. After college, his acting career took off in 1994, when he starred as a series regular in the TV series “Earth 2.” The show was canceled after one season. Eventually, he became a fan favorite in movies like “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang,” with Val Kilmer and Robert Downey, Jr. He is mostly known for his work on the small screen like his roles as Kenny Chadway in Showtime’s “Soul Food,” Eli Roosevelt in “Sons of Anarchy” and of course, Benjamin Miles “C-Note” Franklin in “Prison Break.” In addition to his acting resume, Dunbar has experimented with writing, directing and producing i e. in 2004, he directed the short film, “The Great Commission.” His talents expand across the board, especially in the art department. In 2001, he wrote a book of poetry, and he really impressed fans when he created his own mixed-media art exhibit titled “Artherapy.” It’s no secret that he’s recognized for his good looks. In 2003, he took that to the next level by posing for Playgirl Magazine, where he showed off his smokin’ body. Even TV Guide agreed with that, as they included Dunbar in their “Television’s 50 Sexiest Stars of All Time” list. When it comes to the ladies, he hasn’t struggled too much, despite his divorce in 2006. For three years, he was married to Ivy Holmes, and now he is engaged to actress and writer Maya Gilbert, who is known for her role as Juliet in “Banshee." Dunbar’s career is far from over, and fans avidly await to see what he’ll star in next.
